An expert said drug harm reduction is standard practice across Amsterdam's venues and festivals.
Awareness teams work in almost every club and share information about incidents. A total of 73% of survey respondents say these teams would be helpful during incidents.
An expert described provision as well resourced where it exists, but a welfare staff trainer disagreed:
“This year for the first time, we noticed that they [promoters, venue operators] don't have enough money to let us come to them [to train their staff in welfare]… and you notice, when there's no money then social safety is one of the first things that is not necessary — even though it's very important, of course.”
