Who are the upcoming artists, sounds and styles in Seoul?

Participants made 35 entries. Hyperpop and Asian dance music were the only entries with more than one vote. ACS, now called 축제 (“festival”), books artists from Korea and across Asia, and pushes a revival of ppongtchak and other styles that had been treated as old school.
Jjijji Party is a new party format made so that women can free their breasts in a club. A participant said it made people rethink the club culture they have had until now. Participants also named Area X, the DJ label of AT AREA, as a route from K-pop into club sounds.
One participant said Seoul does not lack venues or parties, and its DJs are doing well, but:
“We’re not, like, developing that well. We’re just like staying there… we’re doing good, but we’re not going to like, go further.”
Another proposed a touring network between Asian cities, so an artist can play Seoul, Vietnam, Taiwan and Japan on one tour.
