How many conferences about nighttime culture were held in Greater Sydney between 1 November 2025 and 31 October 2026, and how varied were they?

We counted conferences with a published programme of at least three talks, panels or workshops. Half the score comes from the number of conferences. The other half comes from how they spread across four areas: the nighttime economy, the music industry, culture and the creative industries, and bars and restaurants. Trade fairs, academic conferences and online-only events are not counted.
Sydney had around 25 conferences. Of this number, 67% were about culture and the creative industries, most of them the talks programmes of festivals and fairs. The NSW Government runs two of the three conferences on the nighttime economy. NEON Forum had over 50 sessions and was free to attend, and the Night-Time Economy Accelerator brought 30 councils to a two-day bootcamp.
