How many cultural venues with ticketed events are there in Seoul, and how many are open at night?

We found more than 640 cultural venues in Seoul with ticketed events. Opening hours are known for at least 260 of the confirmed venues.
On at least one day of the week, 45% of confirmed venues stay open after 9pm and at least 22% stay open after 11pm. Additionally 93% of music venues are open after 9pm, but only 9% of art venues.
An expert who runs a venue said there are fewer and fewer venues where different promoters can put on events, partly because of the economic situation and partly because of administrative issues. A survey respondent said noise complaints mean events “only” happen in the spaces that “always” host them.
