What share of the artists on Seoul’s event line-ups are female and gender-diverse?

Over 3,200 artists (430 with known genders) on around 7,900 Seoul event line-ups, for events dated between 1 January 2025 and 31 December 2026.
Female and gender-diverse artists are 30.0% of artists.
An expert said there are a lot more queer DJs active now, and women have become more visible. Clubs used to run mainly on their resident DJs, and now give more opportunities to people from different backgrounds.
Girls Gone Wild! is a recurring party at Cakeshop, a 200-capacity basement club in Itaewon, with women-only line-ups. A participant also named the DJ and producer Seesea, and GEO, a compilation of Korean women electronic artists released by The Internatiiional for International Women’s Day.
Asked which organisations are pushing for women on line-ups, participants could name only these three.
